An automatic, semi-large club forged from soft iron designed to produce results
Have you ever thought it strange that the majority of wedges on the market are sharp pro models?
The NexGen Forged Wedge has a semi-large head that provides peace of mind. Its sole design makes it easier for the club to pick up the ball. The forged soft-iron construction of this wedge provides a hit feeling that awakens the sensitivities.
What is the smoothness that an amateur truly needs? The answer is this wedge.
TECHNOLOGY
Forged soft iron
Most wedges on the market* are manufactured via a casting process that uses soft iron or stainless steel. This wedge, however, benefits from the high precision of a forged soft-iron method. This makes the iron’s structure a bit tighter, so the club feels more comfortable when you hit the ball and makes it easier to hit the shots you imagine on approach.
Semi-Large Head
These semi-large clubs are a bit bigger than the pro model, so they work best for golfers who prefer their irons a little on the large size. Provides peace of mind when addressing the ball and helps you hit it in the same place every time.
Per-Club WD Design
The NexGen Forged Wedge incorporates a per-club weight distribution (WD) design that varies the thickness of the back face to achieve the performance needed for each loft. This back face design was achieved by precisely positioning the center of gravity via high-precision forging techniques.
Full-swing performance to reliably carve out distance
The upper part of the toe side starts thin and gets thicker as you approach the sole. A somewhat lower center of gravity places emphasis on achieving reliable distance with a full swing.
High spin performance to get you near the pin in tough conditions
By making the upper part of the toe side thicker and the center part a little thinner, the center of gravity was raised, which produces stronger spin. The top blade is thick enough to ensure adequate grip on the ball.
Per-Club Sole Design
Full-swing performance to reliably carve out distance
This standard sole (10° bounce angle) is thicker and contacts the ground over a wider area, which increases the success rate of full swings and produces stable distance on shots.
Three-sided sole reduces mis-hits and allows for diverse shots
Has a bounce effect that compensates for duffing and mis-hits while allowing you to hit different kinds of shots with ease Three-Sided Sole (11° bounce angle)
Ignore the grind. A single-sole design for both forgiveness and control
Because there are many wedge grind shapes available on the market, amateur golfers typically struggle with selecting the sole that’s best for them.
The NexGen Forged Wedge uses the same sole design for every loft angle. Tolerant on approaches, but still makes it easy to hit a diverse range of shots.
Intense spin performance
Double-pressed forging to improve flatness and groove definition
The score lines in the face are pressed twice to make the face smoother and improve the precision of the cut grooves. This significantly improves the club’s base spin performance.
Checker Plate Laser Milling to achieve consistent spin off bad lies
This original milling design was inspired by the anti-slip patterns on steel plating. It improves spin performance in unfavorable lies such as wet conditions or the rough. According to test measurements taken under wet conditions, it provides 70% more spin compared to having no milling.
